Well, Halloween is approaching quickly and I can't help but remember where I was last year this time...There is nothing better than seeing kids experience Halloween. My first grade team (teachers) decided to dress up as cowgirls which was so fun and the kids were so cute in their costumes. We did a parade around the whole school and my class went crazy!!!! I'd have to say that the whole week was one of the best weeks for my students....parties, cool art projects, dressing up, and they were sooo excited when Chris came in to carve a pumpkin with everyone. It was actually the first time some of my kids ever carved a pumkin. It made me so sad, but so happy at the same time because I new they would make a memory that would last forever. Like I said, it was a fun week. Two kids ate too much junk food at our party (I swear it was only two cupcakes...for the most part) and barfed on themselves walking to the bathroom for break...in front of a fifth grade class! Hahaha I wasn't laughing that day though....imagine explaining to their parents, why their kid is wearing clothes 5 sizes too big and that they barfed all over themselves because they ate too much crap at our party. Whatever. You're only a kid once right? I have the best memories of Halloween growing up....my parents had these really scary masks with hair attached and had torn up faces. I remember this one year they chased me around the house and I was so scared! I see the humor in it now, but I can also see why I'm extremely paranoid now. : ) (Mom and Dad, if you're reading this, I'm just kidding....I mean, it happened, but it wasn't a big deal....where are those masks now? I'll bring them over to Jen's house. : )) Hahahah The advice I'd give my nephews is:
~Big pillow cases
~No costume is too scary or crazy
~Remember to hide some of the candy you get before you get home because you know your mom and dad will only let you have so much. Keep your stash for after : ) (This won't work for Cole yet because he's too young)
Anyways, I wish I was young again every time Halloween comes around...Happy Halloween!
